How to play – Back to Black

This is an amazing song and Amy was such a singer, it would be easy to shy away from trying to do an arrangement.  Having said that, all the songs I play are classics so if that was the rule I played by, I’d have no songs to play!

It would not do to just try and recreate a carbon copy of the song so I came up with this.  I really enjoy playing it and it’s a really good introduction to playing some of the Jazz chord shapes.  Rather like your regular bar chords they can go anywhere on the neck so once you get to grips with them you can have fun with some of the other songs you know by substituting the chords with these.

Click on the link below for the chords written.  I play this with a capo on the 1st fret so that I can still get the harmonics only now they’re on the 13th fret not the 12th.
